Voting at West Acres

FARGO – If your polling site is West Acres Shopping Center, here’s a tip: The specific place to go is right in front of Macy’s near the food court.

It’s essentially at the crossroads of the mall – the same location where the likes of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny visit children during seasonal holidays.

Today, there’s very minimal signage directing voters to where specifically the polls are, and I saw a lot of puzzled looks as people entered the mall this morning, seemingly confused about where they were supposed to go.

The mall is a polling precinct for voters within legislative District 27. As of about 9:15 a.m., 124 people had cast ballots there.
